Trenching & underground power
Trenching & Underground Power in Prince George
Most electricians rent equipment or wait on an excavation sub. Volta owns the machines, so one crew digs, wires, backfills and compacts — one schedule, one written price.
Trenching & excavation
Our own CAT 259 skid steer and John Deere 35G excavator dig service trenches fast and clean, without waiting on a subcontractor.
Underground service feeds
Buried power to shops, garages, wells, gates and outbuildings, done to code with proper depth, bedding and warning tape.
Compaction & backfill
A 1,000 lb plate packer means your trench is compacted properly, so your driveway and lawn do not sink next spring.
Bucket truck work
Our 42-foot-reach bucket truck handles pole lights, parking lot lighting, signage power and overhead service masts.
Yard & driveway lighting
Trenched wiring for post lights, driveway lighting and landscape power on homes and acreages.
EV & outbuilding runs
Long feeds across yards and parking lots for EV chargers, shops and detached suites, dug and wired by one crew.

FAQ
Common questions
Do you handle the digging yourselves?
Yes. Trenching, wiring, backfill and compaction are all done by our crew with our own equipment. No coordinating between an excavation company and an electrician.
What about underground utility locates?
We arrange BC 1 Call utility locates before any digging, and we lay proper bedding and warning tape so your line is protected and to code.
Can you trench across a finished lawn or driveway?
Yes. The compact equipment minimizes disturbance, and the plate packer compacts the backfill properly so the surface does not settle. We leave your yard the way we found it, minus the extension cords.
Power where you need it
Upfront pricing. Licensed electricians. One crew, start to finish.
